All-natural marketing has emerged as an extremely valuable choice in today’s marketplace for producers looking for new premium market opportunities. While marketing natural cattle may not be the right choice for every producer, it can be a beneficial option for producers looking to differentiate themselves from others in the marketplace. We have extensive experience in marketing all-natural cattle and while going through a third-party verification is not required, we see that calves with one or more of these verifications typically bring more than natural affidavit cattle. Producers with verified cattle see increased buyer confidence in their calves and increased demand for their calves at sale time. We have staff that can and will assist with various natural verification services if you need assistance. This includes Global Animal Partnership (GAP) certification and Verified Natural and NHTC certifications through companies such as IMI Global, Angus Link, Beef Traxx, and more. GAP - Global Animal Partnership
Global Animal Partnership utilizes comprehensive farm animal welfare standards to certify farms in a tiered level system through third-party auditors. Global Animal Partnership is one of the largest animal welfare standards and labeling organizations in North America. These standards include no antibiotics, no added growth hormones, no animal by-products, animal welfare standards, and more.

VNB - Verified Natural Beef
VNB notes that the cattle selling are enrolled in a third party, verified natural program in which calves have not been given any hormones, animal by-products or antibiotics during their lifetime. This requires an onsite audit/review that can be done by various companies. These calves are required to be EID tagged through the program and have corresponding shipping paperwork at time of load out. This may also be noted as NE3 (NeverEver 3) which is the verified natural program offered by Angus Link.
NHTC - Non-Hormone Treated Cattle
NHTC cattle are cattle that have not been given any added hormones and have been audited by a third-party company. Hormone growth promotants (HGP) may not be used at any time in the cattle being verified. These calves are required to be EID tagged through the program and have corresponding shipping paperwork at time of load out. Our recommendation at this time is that NHTC be combined with VNB certifications but is not as beneficial as a standalone program.
