Video Auctions are a marketing mechanism that have been growing in popularity in recent years due to the opportunities they present to producers who deal in large numbers of stocker and feeder cattle. Cattle are generally marketed in trailer-load lots weighing approximately 48,000-50,000 pounds; however, we also sell “Partial Loads” if there are not enough cattle to make a full trailer-load. Before the sale, a representative from Mid-Atlantic Cattle Sales will come to your farm to record video and/or take pictures of your cattle while also documenting important information about the cattle including breed, frame, muscling, and fleshing as well as your health and nutrition programs. After all consignments for each sale have been recorded, we at Mid-Atlantic Cattle Sales will create and distribute catalogs and videos to our customers. On the first Wednesday of each month we will have a nationwide conference call starting at 9:30 AM est. for potential buyers and producers and will begin the auction promptly.
